Labor and Employment attorney Lisa Banatoski Mehta
, a partner in the firm's Hartford office, has been chosen by the Hartford Business Journal
to receive its annual 40 Under Forty Award.
Recognized as an outstanding young professional in the Greater Hartford area, Ms. Mehta embodies a commitment to success, personal growth and community involvement. In her practice, she advises municipalities throughout the State of Connecticut and other public sector clients, including state agencies, health districts, special taxing districts and local boards of education, with respect to all aspects of labor and employment law.
Ms. Mehta is also a strong believer in being an active member of the community. Throughout her career, she has assumed a variety of leadership roles in the firm’s efforts to support civic and charitable organizations such as United Way, Hands on Hartford, My Sister’s Place and Riverfront Recapture. Moreover, she has contributed her own time and experience to groups in her area, including serving as chair of the Christian Education Committee of the First Congregational Church of Bristol and conducting an annual book drive with her family to support Read to Grow, Inc.
