Health Law attorney
David Mack, a partner in the firm's Hartford office, has been chosen by the American Bar Association (ABA) to serve as Chair of the Business Law Section’s Health Law Committee. The Health Law Committee is responsible on a national level to serve the public, the legal profession and the ABA’s Business Law Section by furthering the development and improvement of health law, educating lawyers in health law and helping members to serve their health care and bioscience clients competently, efficiently and professionally.
Mack has extensive experience representing hospitals, health care facilities, health care providers, and bioscience companies on a broad range of business and regulatory issues including corporate governance; corporate and regulatory compliance; government and internal investigations; mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures, affiliations, collaborations and restructurings; research and development; commercialization of health care products; protection of medical information; risk management and medical ethics issues.
Mack lectures frequently on topics of interest to the health care community and bioscience industry. He also has held numerous leadership roles in professional associations, including serving as a member of the Executive Committee and Immediate Past Chair of the Health Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, a member of the Program Committee of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and a member of the Board of Directors of Connecticut United for Research Excellence, Inc.
