Shipman & Goodwin Recognized by Chambers USA 2011

The Conn. & D.C. Firm Honored in 8 Categories, and 14 Attorneys Named "Leaders in Their Field"

Shipman & Goodwin LLP’s Connecticut and Washington, D.C. offices have been recognized in eight different areas of practice, and 14 of the firm’s attorneys have been recommended as “Leaders in Their Field” by Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers, the nation’s preeminent guide to law firms and individual attorneys.

The firm’s Connecticut law offices (Hartford, Stamford, Greenwich and Lakeville) have been recognized in multiple areas of practice for the ninth consecutive year. The practice areas are: Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions; Environment; Healthcare; Labor & Employment; Litigation: General Commercial; and Real Estate.

James P. Ruggeri, a Partner with Shipman & Goodwin LLP’s Washington, D.C. office, has received a 2011 National recognition. Ruggeri is the first attorney with Shipman & Goodwin LLP to ever receive a ranking in the “Nationwide” category, and this is the second consecutive year that he has been recognized with this honor. Ruggeri was recognized for his outstanding national practice work in the Insurance: Dispute Resolution: Insurer category. Both he and Shipman & Goodwin LLP’s D.C. office also were recognized in the Insurance: Insurer category.
