FINANCE / REAL ESTATE ASSOCIATE - HARTFORD, STAMFORD OR NY OFFICE

We are seeking an associate to join our finance and real estate practice in New York City, Stamford, CT or Hartford, CT.  Candidates should have three to six years of experience with commercial real estate transactions, including representation of borrowers and/or lenders in financing matters and property acquisition/disposition/leasing matters.  Experience with capital markets, structured finance and/or title, survey, and zoning a plus.  Strong candidates have the desire to grow in responsibility and ultimately lead transactions and have experience working as team member on complex deals, in addition to strong drafting, due diligence and negotiation skills.  We will consider candidates who prefer to work from the firm’s New York office on a regular schedule for a portion of the time so long as the candidate maintains a regular schedule in one of the firm’s Connecticut offices.

TORT/PRODUCT LIABILITY LITIGATION ASSOCIATE -  HARTFORD OR STAMFORD OFFICE

We are seeking a mid-level litigation associate to join our thriving national tort and product liability defense litigation practice in either our Hartford or Stamford office.  Candidates should have a minimum of four years of complex litigation experience, strong case management skills and experience preparing witnesses and experts for trial.  Must have experience in defending major tort and product liability lawsuits dealing with pharmaceuticals or medical devices.  Candidates must have strong research, writing and oral advocacy skills along with a client service mindset, superior communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.  Top academic credentials are required.  Admission to the Connecticut bar or ability to waive in preferable. 

TORT/PRODUCT LIABILITY LITIGATION ASSOCIATE - HARTFORD OR STAMFORD OFFICE

We are seeking a junior litigation associate to join our thriving national tort and product liability defense litigation practice in either our Hartford or Stamford office.  Candidates should have one to two years of complex litigation experience.  A focus on defending major tort and product liability lawsuits dealing with medical devices or pharmaceuticals will be looked upon favorably.  Candidates must have strong research, writing and oral advocacy skills along with a client service mindset, superior communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.  Top academic credentials are required with prior clerkship experience a plus.  

ENVIRONMENTAL ASSOCIATE - HARTFORD OFFICE

We are seeking an associate for our Hartford office to join our multidisciplinary environmental practice group, which advises clients on the full range of EH&S matters in the business, transactional, regulatory compliance and litigation (administrative, civil and criminal) contexts both regionally and nationally.  Candidates should have two to four years of experience with environmental transactions including experience with business counseling, regulatory compliance, and permitting.  Candidates must also be able to manage due diligence investigations and work as a member of a team on complex corporate and real estate transactions.  Environmental insurance and/or litigation experience is considered a plus.  Strong research, writing and oral advocacy skills are a must along with a client service mindset and superior communication skills.  Top academic credentials are required.  

TRANSACTIONAL ASSOCIATE - HARTFORD OFFICE

We are seeking an attorney with two to three years of experience in transactional work to join our well-established, fast-paced Corporate Trust practice in our Hartford office.  The Corporate Trust group works closely with the corporate trust departments of major national banks, representing them as trustees, escrow agents and collateral or security agents in a wide variety of corporate debt, leveraged lease, municipal bond, secured and structured financing transactions and defaults.  Applicants with finance or securities/capital markets experience would be ideal.  Successful applicants must have the ability to work with complex transactional documents in high stakes matters and must be willing and able to work under tight timeframes.  Although the Hartford office is preferred, in certain circumstances, we may consider candidates for the Stamford or New York office.
